Nicknamed “Honeymoon Island” for its idyllic setting, Maiton Island lies just off the southeast coast of Phuket. This full-day catamaran cruise is unlike some of our other Maikon Island day trips in that it allows you to explore the island itself, not just the surrounding waters.
Spot dolphins playing alongside the vessel as we cruise through Panwa Bay and past Ko Lon, eventually entering the sparkling waters of the Andaman Sea. With a luxury catamaran as your carriage, you can cruise in comfort and with a drink in hand while soaking up the magnificent island views.
On arrival at Maiton Island, you’ll have plenty of time to swim and snorkel from its blissful beaches or you can hike to the elevated viewpoint for a completely different perspective. A Thai-style seafood buffet awaits at lunchtime, after which you can do as much or as little as you please.

Itinerary
After being picked up from your hotel between 8:00 and 8:45, you’ll be transported to the Dolphin Pier at Panwa where your luxury catamaran awaits. Enjoy the Andaman Sea breezes as you relax with a refreshing drink onboard or kick back in the trampoline while soaking up the sunshine. The island of Ko Lon will be on your right as we leave the waters of Panwa Bay and head towards one of the most beautiful islands in Phuket.
As we cruise towards Maiton Island, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins that can sometimes be seen playing in the water alongside the vessel. Maiton Island is also known as “Honeymoon Island” for its romantic atmosphere and is the ideal setting for snorkelling in the wildlife-filled surrounding waters.
Once you’ve discovered the island’s underwater wonders, a Thai-inspired seafood buffet will be served. The rest of the afternoon is yours to swim, snorkel or hike to the elevated viewpoint overlooking Maiton Island. Around 15:00, it’s time to re-board the catamaran for the return journey to Panwa, with seasonal fresh fruits and snacks served along the way. On arrival at the pier, you’ll be transported back to your hotel.
