Located north of Ko Yao Yai, this island is 47.1575 square kilometers (28,456.97 rai) in size, with a high ridge through the middle and thick jungle on either side. A plateau leads to a cliff on the east side, which is all agricultural land. Fine sandy beaches that draw lots of tourists may be found almost everywhere on the island. In fact, visitors frequently choose to go between Ko Yao Noi and Ko Hong in Krabi province because of their close vicinity. The majority of the 13 village populations on the island, which are primarily Muslim, earn a living by farming, caring for rubber plantations, fishing, or raising fish and lobsters for sale. Others decide to plan and manage tourism-related businesses. The island has recently received numerous honors both domestically and abroad, and it is a member of the “Ecotourism Association” for travel destinations that eliminate or minimize environmental harm, collaborate harmoniously, and promote equitable distribution of wealth and income.
